Darwin Nurseries and Farm Shop is a horticultural centre where the workers are mainly young adults who have learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. Manager Christine Millar and her staff provide skills training and an opportunity for the workers to be involved in all aspects of growing plants and selling them to the public. The summer and winter bedding seasons are always busy times, and on average 500 hanging baskets are made and sold each year. Vocational courses are organised in partnership with Huntingdon Regional College, designed for young people and adults who wish to develop their personal and vocational skills. Training is also given in animal husbandry, and the animal farm on the site is a great attraction for visitors, particularly for children; the turf maze also adds to the fun of a visit.

The Farm Shop is stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables, much of it home or locally grown, jams, preserves and other foodstuffs, along with plants and seeds, fertilisers, garden accessories and pet foods. The centre enjoys a picturesque setting close to the Newmarket Road (A1303) between the Cambridge Airport roundabout and the roundabout at Junction 35 of the A14. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm Sunday.
