Next to the pond in the village where ducks
take priority over cars, Mallards is a
place where customers can set their imaginations free. The warm, inviting
interior of the 100-year-old premises is full of beautiful, stylish and unusual
items to make a house special, and what the pictures, lamps, ornaments,
furniture, throws and bedding, glassware and jewellery have in common is their
originality.
Owners Alan and Jacquie Pirrie have taken various themes,
including French and English country style and displayed them on beautiful
antique pine furniture in this wonderful shop in one of the prettiest villages
in England. The owners and their friendly, helpful staff are on hand with help
and advice, and the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere, the variety of the stock and
the very realistic prices make any visit here an occasion to savour. Mallards
has another feather in its cap in the shape of a party plan - home visits can
be arranged.
