Established originally just for crafts in 1936,
Elm Hill
Craft Shop is now an exclusive gift shop selling a wide and imaginative
selection of gifts and toys. Christina Morris, the owner since 1981, puts her
seal of approval on everything on display in the well-lit interior, and each
visit is a browser's delight, with something new to discover every time. The
stock includes Maisy, Miffy, Elmer and Babar ranges, Russian dolls, dolls' houses
and miniature furniture, Irish spongeware pottery by Nicolas Mosse, activity
books, stationery, greetings cards, gift wrap, jewellery and toiletries. The
shop occupies a corner site in a cobbled street close to the Norman Cathedral
and backed by the River Wensum.
