Nestling in the picturesque Nar Valley in North Norfolk,
next to an old Mill, this family owned and run site is unique. Fed by the River
Nar, a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of water quality, it
comprises a Trout and Coarse Fish Farm and Fishery
set in 27 acres of secluded
woodland. The well planted fishery offers three fly lakes, a
stream and two coarse lakes (one with specimen fish). Day
and block tickets are available. The fishery is open all
year. The shop sells tackle from leading manufacturers.
Tackle hire, snacks, tuition, group and corporate
entertainment are available. There is a large car park,
toilets and disabled access. Guide dogs only are permitted.
The farm grows high quality Rainbow Trout for sport in the
lakes and for food. The shop sells fresh and smoked whole trout, trout fillets,
smoked trout pate and smoked Norfolk chicken and duck breasts. All smoking is
done on site.
The peaceful environment is home to many forms of wildlife
(over 40 species of birds have been identified). A nature walk along the Mill
Stream includes views of the fish in stock ponds. Nearby are the Nar Valley
Walk and Peddars way. Historic King's Lynn, Sandringham and the North Norfolk
Coast are within easy reach. Holidays and fishing breaks are catered for in
three well appointed en-suite rooms with twin beds, kitchenette table and
chairs, breakfasts provided in the conservatory. |
