Knitwear designer Elizabeth Gash sold to shops, in galleries
and at fairs and shows before opening her own shop, first in the High Street,
and in 2001 here in Market Place opposite the imposing Guildhall. Elizabeth
Gash Knitwear stocks her own beautiful designs in Scottish yarn, silks and
lamb's wool, as well as other leading British designers including Lorry
Marshall, Bill Baber and Sophies Wild Woollens, and textile designers Shirley
Pinder, Karen Miknas and Caroline Hall. In summer the range is extended to
include linen clothes with ranges by Noa Noa, Flax, Cut Loose and Natural Wave.
Personal attention is a key feature here, and a made-to-measure service is
available for much of the knitwear.
