Owner Colin Osborne and his two assistants
bring a wealth of experience and expertise to everything they do at
C V Osborne, which stands behind Chads in Union Street. Colin himself
has been a goldsmith for 25 years, Tina has
designed and made jewellery for 20 years and Ron
has been in the jewellery trade for over 40 years. Between them they produce a variety of
superb pieces that include rings, bracelets, cufflinks
and tiaras, to bespoke designs or to customers' individual specifications. Tina also attends
regular courses in gemmology.
Pieces range from traditional to contemporary, classic to bizarre; opals, pearls and amber
are specialities, along with unusual gems such as morganite or kunzite. A workshop at the back
of the shop has a traditional work bench for
making pieces and for repairs and alterations.
Friendly, personal service and consistent high quality
of workmanship attracts business from as far away as London to this outstanding establishment.
