Friendly, well-informed staff, with Jill Hortor at the helm, add to the pleasure of a visit
to Hortors Nurseries & Farm Shop, which is located midway between Kinoulton and
Hickling. Hanging baskets are a speciality, and there's always a good stock of herbaceous and
bedding plants whilst bouquets and arrangements can be made to order.
The farm shop on the same site sells an abundance
of locally produced fruit and vegetables, home-grown
and local summer salad leaves, cordials and juices from
Belvoir Fruit Farms, dairy products from the Manor Farm Dairy
at Thrussington, honey, jams, preserves and Colston
Bassett cheese. There's plenty of good walking in the
vicinity, and the picturesque Grantham Canal runs through
the village close to the nursery.
