In the heart of Ludlow, Broad Bean Wholefood
provides a relaxed environment for shopping for an exciting range of
wholefood, drink and health products. Opened in 1977 by the Jones
family from London, the shop originally just sold wholefoods from
sacks. The range expanded over the years, particularly after 2001,
when the business was acquired by Ian Maxwell Muller. Best
sellers naturally keep their place on the shelves, and new items
are continually being added.
The stock includes organic meat and fish, more than 20 cheeses, chilled dairy and deli
products, nuts, grains, seeds and dried fruits,
cakes, speciality flour, teas, infusions, coffees, juices
and alcoholic drinks (organic and non-organic
wines, own label and other beers, organic cider,
meads and speciality liqueurs). Also for sale are
dietary supplements, gluten- and wheat-free foods, homeopathic remedies and beauty products.
Personal service is a watchword, and though browsing is encouraged (and very enjoyable!)
Ian and his staff are always on hand with help and advice.
