Jane Taylor and Mary Mullock renovated an old garage and turned it into a delightful
lifestyle shop that has quickly won many loyal friends.
Heather Brae is filled with a carefully
chosen, eclectic selection of items large and small for the house and garden, and a wide variety of
gift ideas. On display are chinaware and pottery, tins and jars and other kitchenalaia,
brooches, vintage and contemporary jewellery, semi-precious stones, home-made soaps, candles
and lanterns, leather goods, embroidery, dolls and toys and
mobiles, leather goods, watercolours and cards for all occasions.
For the outside and garden there are sculptures and
ornaments, benches, and superb locally made wrought-iron arches. It's a
great place for browsing and the stock is constantly
changing, so every visit is guaranteed to reveal new and
delightful surprises. Hard to beat when looking for a personal
treat or an unusual present, Heather Brae is open from
10 to 5.30 every day except Tuesday.
