`Remember a bygone age and feel the nostalgia'.
That's the message on a sign inside Edwardian
Charm, whose ample display space is filled to bursting with
memorabilia and gifts for all occasions and all pockets.
Recently opened by Glenn and Maureen Evans in a
pedestrianised area of town, this really is a paradise for anyone with
a longing for the good old days.
Just a few of the items in the constantly
changing stock: Robert Opie classic scrapbooks; postcards
from the `50s and `60s; tin boats and cars and trams
and soldiers, tin boxes; tins of sweets; retro radio
sets; canvas prints and mirrors with vintage
advertisements for the likes of Colman's Mustard and Oxo; gollies
and teddy bears; dolls and soft toys; jewellery
holders; money boxes in the shape of post boxes and
handbags; fairies and figurines; picture frames; silk
flowers; lavender pots, soaps and toiletries. There is no
better place for browsing for a personal treat or a special gift, and if you can't get to the shop,
the excellent website illustrates many of the wonderful things in store.
