 The Old Stables Farm Shop is located on Packington Moor, a working arable and
livestock farm just off the A51 midway between Tamworth and Lichfield. The farm has been
run by the Barnes family since 1921, and the third generation, John and Rosemary, live and
work here. They run farm shop, bakery and café
and produce the best Pick Your Own summer fruits. The farm shop is stocked with a wide range
of prime produce, including the famous free-range Packington pork, which is specially
butchered and packaged for the Old Stables; game
and poultry; farm eggs, fruit and vegetables;
British cheeses, local preserves and delicatessen products. Snacks, lunches and suppers
are served in the Courtyard Café, and the
spacious Country Garden and the 18th century Oat
Barn are popular venues for weddings, functions and other special occasions. The Old Stables
also offers a full outside catering service.
The farm shop is open from 8am to 6pm Tuesday to Friday and from 8am to 5pm on
Saturday.
