The Revills are a prominent local farming family
and it is son in law Darren Hedges who runs Revills
Farm Shop, which is located in the village of Defford,
off the A4104 two miles southwest of Pershore.
Darren and his staff take justifiable pride in the quality
of the produce sourced direct from the growers or locally through farmers' markets. The shop sells
a fine variety of food, from meat (frozen or fresh
to order), free-range poultry, seasonal game and
fish from St Ives to eggs and cheese, preserves
and pickles, homemade cakes, speciality breads,
ice creams, and popular vegetable boxes and fruit baskets that reflect what's best throughout
the seasons -
these include superb soft fruits in summer and the first crop of asparagus in the county.
Shoppers will also find wines, beers, cider and perry, a small deli selection and some
splendid pottery from Boleslawiec in Poland. The Old Stables Tea Room, with seats inside and outside,
is open for morning coffee, light lunches and cream teas; a gallery showcases the work of
local artists. Revills is open from 9am to 6pm (5.30pm in winter), Sunday 10am to 4pm.
