Only a five-minute walk from the ferry to the
Aran Islands, Atlantic View House is a friendly,
family-run guest house close to the Atlantic seafront
at Doolin. The house enjoys spectacular views of
the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren and has
recently been refurbished to a very high standard. It's
owned by the O'Brien family who have been
welcoming bed & breakfast guests here since 1974. Kevin, a local man, his wife Eileen, originally from
Scotland, and their daughter Sandra do all they can to make sure
your stay is both comfortable and memorable.
A full Irish breakfast is included in the tariff and
the O'Briens are happy to cater for vegetarian or other
dietary requirements. Continental breakfast is also available and
dishes such as smoked herring are especially popular. Meals are
served in the spacious dining room which has large picture
windows to make the most of the superb views.
The accommodation comprises 12 tastefully furnished
and decorated guest bedrooms (one family; seven doubles and
four twins), all with en suite facilities, direct dial telephone,
cable TV and complimentary tea/coffee tray.
As well as
the magnificent scenery, the area has plenty of visitor attractions Sea World,
Aillwee Cave, award-winning restaurants, traditional Irish music pubs, as well as activities such as pony
trekking, pitch and putt, and cycling. And, of course, no visitor to this corner of Ireland should leave
without paying a visit to the Aran Islands with their rugged landscape, panoramic views and abundance
of prehistoric and monastic ruins. The Doolin ferry offers the shortest route to the islands and the
O'Briens would be happy to make the necessary arrangements for you.
