At Be Framed Fine Art Gallery, owner Eoin Lane prides himself on offering stylish and innovative pieces for the contemporary interior and features award-winning images from many of Europe's most exciting artists. The emphasis is on individuality and quality "Our walls reflect the exhilarating character and infinite variety of the contemporary art scene," says Eoin.

A variety that ranges from the elegant portraits of Sherree Valentine Daines who is fascinated by "capturing the social scene as it unfolds", to the dramatic seascapes of Duncan MacGregor; from Raymond Campbell's striking still life paintings to the Mediterranean landscapes of Richard Pargeter. The range is wide enough to include the comic drawings of Tim Bulmer who says his inspiration "comes from the incredible diversity of a world that always seems to border on farce".

The gallery also offers a range of art-related services. Originally Eoin started out as a carpenter and joiner, and became interested in picture framing as a hobby. After many years of helping out friends and family by framing their photographs and other items, he attended a commercial framing school recognised by the Fine Art Trade Guild to further his knowledge and skills. Recently he succesfully passed the Fine Art Trade  Guilds Commended Framers Examination. The gallery's main service is the provision of quality picture frames made to order for the general public. It also provides a mount cutting service to the trade which can be delivered throughout Ireland and Britain. A speciality of the gallery is bespoke framing. The bespoke framer's services are called upon when your print is not a standard size or you require a superior quality frame. "Perhaps what you want framed," says Eoin, "is a 3D object such as your child's first pair of shoes, or your husband's favourite football boots that he wore when he scored the winning goal for the local pub league championship......."

Eoin and his team also work with interior designers and property developers. For example, they will bring a selection of artwork to your business or home so that you can see how it looks in situ before making your final decision.

The gallery is open from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday except on Bank Holidays, but visitors are welcome outside of these hours "If I'm in, we're open," says Eoin.
