Many of them return time and again, drawn by the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the tasty home cooking. Another attraction is the beautifully maintained garden with its splendid view of Macgillycuddy's Reeks. Approved by the Irish Tourism Board, the Lodge has four attractively furnished and decorated guest bedrooms, two of them with en suite facilities, the others have private bathrooms. A hearty breakfast with a good choice on the menu is included in the tariff. Guests also have the use of a comfortable TV lounge. For those who prefer self-catering, an apartment with its own separate entrance is available. The Lodge is just a 10-minute walk from Caragh Lake with sandy beaches and fishing, golf, forest walks and mountain climbing all available locally. Killorglin town is noted for its choice of restaurants and bars with traditional music, and is especially lively in mid-August when the three-day Puck Fair takes place.
