Situated in silver birch woods in the beautiful Ballygriffin valley, just three miles from Kenmare town, Anam Cré (spirit clay) Studio offers individuals, groups and families the opportunity of making and creating in clay. The studio area is large and spacious and fully equipped for all kinds of clay activities. There are potters' wheels, a variety of kilns and a wide selection of clays and glazes. You don't have to be an expert to participate. All clay sessions are suited to beginners and improvers and are tailored to individual needs. People are always surprised by what can be achieved in a 2.5 hour period, bowls pots, sculptures, tiles etc. Participants are allowed one kilo of clay per session fired to 1,000 degrees centigrade. Booking is essential. Sessions run morning 10.30am - 1pm, afternoon 2.30pm - 5pm.
