A brilliantly converted 19th century stone gate
lodge, Bensfort Lodge offers extremely comfortable
self-catering accommodation in wonderfully peaceful surroundings.
It's only four miles from the Heritage Town of Kells and just
a one-hour drive from Dublin Airport. There are four
golf courses within a five-mile radius including Headfort
with its two spectacular parkland championship courses. Fishing, horse-riding, tennis, swimming and
pitch & putt are all available locally, and the world-famous Neolithic site of Newgrange is only a short
drive away.
The Lodge comprises three bedrooms, all en suite and
two of them on the ground floor; a large and well-equipped
kitchen-dining area notable for its 100-year-old yellow and red
tiles; and a spacious sitting room with wooden flooring,
traditional open
fireplace, sumptuous sofas and soft lighting.
Organic paint and wood treatments are used throughout. There's
also a colour TV and VCR. The wooden French doors on the
south side of the room ensure plenty of natural light throughout
the year, and they open onto the large garden patio equipped
with barbecue and garden furniture. The house has its own
private car parking and tennis facilities are available on request.
