Occupying a peaceful location in beautiful rural surroundings on the north coast of Sligo Bay, Ardtarmon House has been the home of the Henry family since 1852. The spacious old house, set in extensive grounds, retains its 19th century ambience with much original furniture still in place. Your hosts, Charles and Christa Henry assure visitors of a warm welcome and are happy to provide any assistance to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They offer both bed & breakfast or self-catering accommodation, with B&B guests staying in the main house where there are four large en suite bedrooms.

The meals at Ardtarmon House are excellent all prepared using home-grown and local produce with traditional cooking methods. For those who prefer self-catering, there are five charming cottages in the original farm yard and grounds. They include a gate lodge, a thatched cottage and attractively converted stone-built farm buildings. The cottages range in size from one to three bedrooms, are pleasantly and comfortably furnished, and three of them have open fires. Laundry facilities and a pay phone are available. Other amenities at Ardtarmon include a hard tennis court, TV, a games room in a converted stable and the extensive grounds with panoramic views of the sea and mountains. A 500-yard path through the fields leads to the sea and a beach which is safe for swimming. Plenty of other activities cycling, boating, fishing, golf, - are available nearby, and historic sites within easy reach include Lissadell House, childhood home of the Countess Markiewicz, and the 17th century Parke's Castle.
