Established in 1991, Parnell Antiques is owned and run by the husband and wife team of Chris and Helen Kavanagh, both of whom originate from Enniscorthy and share a consuming interest in antiques.

In the three small rooms of their elegant showroom you'll find a very broad range of pieces Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, especially bedroom furniture; long case, mantle and Vienna clocks from the Georgian and Victorian eras; aneroid and mercury barometers dating back to around 1800; mirrors and prints, and much more.

A clock repair service is available and restoration work by local specialists can also be arranged. The shop is open from 10.30am to 5.30pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and at other times by appointment; parking is available outside the shop. Enniscorthy town itself is well worth exploring. A busy market town, it boasts an impressive medieval castle which houses the Wexford County Museum; the outstanding National 1798 Centre which recounts the story of the 1798 rebellion; and a fine neo-Gothic cathedral, St Aidan's.
