There are two guest bedrooms, a double and a twin. Spacious and tasteful, each room is furnished and decorated with understated elegance and style. The generous breakfasts can include scrambled free-range eggs with smoked salmon, as well as traditional Yorkshire fare. Dinner is also available by prior arrangement, and makes use of the freshest local produce and fruit and vegetables from the garden where possible. Vegetarian dishes can be provided if requested in advance. A delicious packed lunch can also be provided with prior notice. Located between Pickering and Kirkbymoorside, within easy reach of Scarborough, the River Rye, Amotherby, Malton and Helmsley, it is conveniently situated for visits to Castle Howard, the North York Moors Railway and excellent walks on the moors. The house is set in its own mature gardens, with views of the moors. Pets by arrangement. No smoking.
