Country Ceramics

The Commons, Pike End, Rishworth, West Yorkshire HX6 4RE

Tel: 01422 825165 Fax: 01422 825165

Country Ceramics combines a spacious gallery and studio where you can shop for handmade and hand-painted gifts, or even paint your own unique piece. It all began with owner and ceramic artist Shelley Foden's interest in pottery, and she continues to offer classes and talks on all aspects of slip casting, painting and glazing. You can browse round the gallery, which is filled with Shelley's exclusive range of eye-catching and beautiful ceramics, and witness the process from filling the moulds to glazing, or you can choose an item from the extensive bisque range and paint or glaze it yourself.

This `hand's on' opportunity is open to all ages, and allows you to develop your own style and distinct gift or object d'art for the home. The large workshop accommodates 17 people. Open every day, please ring first especially to book studio time for painting. Commissions can be taken. Shelley hosts a range of special workshops for organisations, e.g. Brownies, Scouts, Women's Institute, community groups, children, parent and toddlers, as well as regular classes throughout the year.
