Standing in beautiful well-stocked
gardens with superb views of the rolling Cheshire countryside,
Ash House Farm is an impressive creeper-clad Georgian
farmhouse which was previously owned by Alexander Carlton Greg
who gave Quarry Bank Mill in Styal to the National Trust. Sue
and Fred Schofield came here in 1991 and since then have
extended the farm to 220 acres and expanded their herd of cows
to about 110. They have also planted a large quantity of
shrubs and roses in the immaculate garden which is overlooked
by both the guest lounge, with its log-burning stove, and the
dining room.
Sue
and Fred have been welcoming bed & breakfast guests here
since 1993 and the warm, homely atmosphere of the house makes
this a very relaxing place to stay. There are just two very
comfortable guest bedrooms, one family and one twin, both very
attractively furnished and decorated. Sue provides a full
farmhouse or continental breakfast, served on decorative china
and at times to suit everyone's timetable. Sue will also cater
for any special dietary requirements. For evening meals there
are several good pubs within easy reach and a microwave and
fridge are available for the use of guests.
