The Cottage Tea Shop

121 Main Street, Frodsham, Cheshire WA6 7AF

Tel: 01928 733673

Occupying two 300-year-old cottages on Frodsham's main street, The Cottage Tea Shop is a delightful traditional tea room owned and run by Graham and Louise Nickson, both of whom were born and grew up in the town. Customers can enjoy their refreshments either in the light and airy conservatory at the rear, in the cosy, cottage-style tea rooms inside, or at tables on the pavement outside. As well as teatime treats such as cream teas, home-made cakes, freshly baked scones, toasted crumpets or tea cake, the extensive menu also offers a breakfast selection, served from 10am until 2.30pm, hot savouries such as stilton & mango rarebit or spicy tomatoes on toast, home-made soup, jacket potatoes and a wide choice of sandwiches. There's a special menu for children up to 10 years old.

Everything on the menu is locally sourced wherever possible and freshly prepared to order. The tea room is licensed, with wine served by the glass and bottled beer available, and private functions are catered for. Graham and Louise also own The Toy Box, next but one to the tea room, where you'll find a fascinating collection of traditional wooden toys, birth and christening gifts.
