Taking over an old cattle farm in 1992, Steve and Brenda Ledsham have created and built up Church Farm Organics to be one of the very best sources of organic produce in the whole area. Their achievement has been recognised by their receiving the accolade of Farm Shop of the Year in both 2001 and 2004. The fruit and vegetables on sale in the farm shop are all organic and most of them are grown on the 60-acre farm, along with bedding and herbaceous plants. Among hundreds of organic lines, including meat and fish, the owners also sell their own honey and free range eggs, vital elements in their commitment to selling local food to local people, and to contributing to the local community in whatever ways they can.
