The Railway Hotel

The Banks, Staveley, nr Kendal, Cumbria LA8 9NB

Tel: 01539 821385

The little town of Staveley lies a few miles east of Windermere, beside the A591, and it's here you will find The Railway Hotel. It's an impressive 19th century building with a black-and-white exterior and a cosy traditional interior. As we go to press, the new mine hosts, Mark and Sarah Moore, are completing a major programme of refurbishment and all of the premises, including the accommodation will be finished to the highest standards. By the time you read this, Mark will again be offering customers the same kind of quality cuisine for which he was well-known at his previous establishment. "We aim to make the Railway Hotel the place to eat in the area," he says. Freshly cooked and locally sourced, the food will be available throughout the day. Located right in the heart of the town, the hotel has its own extensive car parking.
