Hipping Hall is a
magnificent, instantly welcoming 17th century building set in
three acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. The Hall has
been transformed into a wonderful modern country house hotel
and restaurant by the new owners, the Wildsmith family. Great
care has been taken to retain the historic nature of the
building whilst injecting a contemporary feel with the use of
striking colours and bold fabrics.
The
bedrooms at Hipping have been designed to contrast with the
rich interiors of the downstairs public rooms. Shades of white
combine with a variety of patterns and textures to create a
refreshing sense of calm. Each
bedroom
has its own unique appeal but contains a luxury hand-built bed
made up with the finest cotton linen. The en-suite bathrooms
have been designed with the latest modern fittings and
stunning natural stone tiles.
The double height medieval
banqueting hall complete with
minstrels
gallery, log fire and oak beams is the setting for a unique
dining experience. Food at Hipping is under the direction of
former Young Chef of the Year, Jason `Bruno' Birkbeck, who
creates menus in his own style blending traditional cuisine
with modern ideas. Hipping Hall is open to non-resident diners
every evening and Sunday lunch. Light lunches and afternoon
teas are served throughout the week.
