Beckstones
Art Gallery
idyllic
location for a gallery dedicated to the highest standards of
contemporary art. Seemingly well off the beaten track, the
gallery is actually only two miles from the A66 and roughly
five miles from Penrith, Ullswater and Junction 40 of the M6.
In the 25 years since it opened, its resolute policy of
pursuing excellence has given it a national reputation for
exhibiting paintings of the highest quality. It is a family
run business with a relaxed atmosphere, and visitors are made
genuinely welcome by friendly, knowledgable staff.
The
artists who exhibit at Beckstones are chosen as the best in
their own particular categories and come from every part of
the United Kingdom. Subject matter covers an impressive range,
and oils, watercolours and other media are all featured.
Around 40 artists exhibit on a regular basis, and between 300
and 500 pieces, all originals, are available at any one time.
