Hunnisett Reed Antiques is situated in the small market town of Wigton, which is 11 miles south of the border city of Carlisle and 30 minutes drive from Penrith and the M6. The proprietors, Suzi and Bill live on the premises and have the showrooms in one of their barns. The property was originally a farm dating back to the 16th century. In 1662 it was converted into a merchant's house and is one of the oldest buildings remaining in Wigton.

Suzi and Bill stock a good and varied selection of hand-finished country oak and pine antique furniture, along with complimentary antiques. The furniture is restored and finished in their own workshop on the premises. They are open by appointment or by chance, but it is best to telephone first to avoid disappointment.

The town of Wigton has good Georgian architecture and a number of cafes and restaurants. It is within easy reach of the Solway coast and close to the Lake District.
