Situated in the lea of the Blencathra fell range and the picturesque Mungrisdale Valley, The Mill Inn is an appealing 17th century coaching inn where landlords Jim and Margaret Hodge offer a warm welcome to all their visitors. This is a genuine traditional hostelry where you can enjoy a pint of real ale along with home-cooked food served in front of a roaring log fire. The food is freshly prepared on the premises and is based on Cumbrian ingredients such as locally bred lamb and regionally caught fresh fish. The regular menu includes the inn's famous speciality pies and a traditional Sunday Roast is always on offer at the weekends. Full vegetarian alternatives are available and special diets can be catered for. If you visit during early November you can experience the inn's world-famous charity Pie-Fest and enjoy more than 14 different types of pie along with live music and real ales. The Mill Inn also offers quality accommodation in six spacious, non-smoking rooms. There are three double rooms, all with en suite facilities; and three twin rooms with either en suite facilities or private bathroom. All rooms have TVs.
