Overlooking a beautiful sheltered sandy harbour beach, the Falcon's Nest Hotel is ideal for families, walking groups, golfers, railway enthusiasts and for the business traveller _ it is only 10 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from Douglas. A family-run concern, the hotel provides comfort and a relaxing atmosphere with superb quality service and cuisine to suit the most discerning visitor. The à la carte restaurant, which enjoys a magnificent sea view, provides the best of traditional English cuisine, including many local seafood delicacies such as Manx queenies, scallops, lobster and crab.

The former ballroom of the hotel has been converted to an elegant Victorian-style dining room where the hotel's renowned Sunday Carvery can be enjoyed. To accompany your meal, there's a large selection of fine wines, offered at sensible prices. Three function rooms are available to suit parties of various sizes. Meals and snacks are also served in both bars during lunchtime and early evening _ real ales and an extensive range of whiskeys are available. The Ophidian's Lair saloon bar with its pool table and jukebox provides a lively and convivial atmosphere, especially when live sports via satellite are being broadcast. In the residents lounge bar, which is also open to non-residents, guests can relax in front of an open fire and enjoy the magnificent views across the bay and headland.

The hotel has 37 en-suite bedrooms and sea views are available. All rooms are designed with guests' comfort in mind and offer many facilities, including en-suite bathrooms, direct dial telephone, colour TV, hair dryer and hospitality tray. A room service menu is available. No single room supplements apply; there are special rates for children; and pets are welcome.

The hotel's other amenities include laundry facilities; photocopying, fax and e-mail _ and the hotel can arrange competitive travel rates with ATOL/ABTA companies.
