Michael Mahon had no intention of moving house but then he came across a "very tired looking, run down" Victorian building for sale. It is now the home of Clifton House Period Interiors. Michael still doesn't know quite what prompted him to buy the dilapidated building. The place had been sadly neglected over the years but many of its original features were still in place fireplaces, a cast iron range, a stained glass window, carved oak panelling and ornate plasterwork on the ceilings in the drawing and dining rooms. "I realised," says Michael "that my future was going to be in the past."
