Standing on the shores of Loch
Etive, Blarcreen House is an elegant Victorian
farmhouse dating from 1886 within the historic Ardchattan
Estate. A house has stood here for at least 400 years, so the
place is full of history and heritage, and makes the ideal
base from which to explore the area. It has four coveted stars
from VisitScotland, five diamonds from the AA. Food is
important at Blarcreen House. Fresh Scottish produce of the
highest quality is always used, and three-course candlelit
dinners are available with prior notice. There is also a fine
selection of wines and spirits.
There
are three comfortable rooms on offer, all en-suite and all
decorated and furnished to an extremely high standard. The
Loch Etive Room has stunning views out over Loch Etive, and
features a king-sized solid mahogany four-poster bed and a
private dressing room. The Henderson Room is spacious and well
appointed, also with king-sized four poster bed and views of
Loch Etive. The Moffat Room enjoys the morning sun, and has an
oak panelled queen-size bed, with loch and mountain views.
The dining room is spacious and
elegant, and the public rooms are all comfortable and informal
- the perfect places to relax and possibly enjoy a drink after
a hard day's sightseeing.
