The Celtic Goldsmith at The Johnnie Armstrong Gallery

Teviothead, by Hawick, Roxburghshire TD9 0LF

Tel/Fax: 01450 850237

website: www.thecelticgoldsmith.com

The Celtic Goldsmith is a family business specialising in the research, design and manufacture of high quality gold and silver jewellery, in Scottish, Celtic and Viking styles.

The Moffatt family have lived in the Border hills since 1978, honing their art, perfecting their skills and immersing themselves in the history, mythology and legends of the North. Each piece they make is a tiny handcrafted work of art, with its own story to tell. They remain a unique business, producing genuine "Native Scottish designs" in small quantities, and selling exclusively from their own premises direct to their clients.

Pieces from their workshops can be found in the collections of connoisseurs the world over, many of whom regard their jewellery as an art investment for future generations.

The range is being expanded to include bronze sculptures, ranging from small ornaments for the shelf, to medium sized pieces for indoor display. Production will be carried out only in foundry bronze, and once again the theme will be Northern myth and legend. The jewellery and bronze collections are displayed alongside genuine historic artifacts relating to their design.
