The Anchorage On Tobermory Bay

28 Main Street, Tobermory, Isle of Mull PA 75

Tel/Fax: 01688 302313

As you might expect, seafood is a speciality at The Anchorage on Tobermory Bay. It sits right on the waterfront, close to what is undoubtedly one of the richest areas in the world for high quality shellfish and other fruits of the sea. Owned and run by Jason and Sarah Cloete, it has earned a great reputation for its fine cuisine and outstanding value for money. Jason just has to cross the road to the harbour to buy produce straight from the boats, ensuring that everything is as fresh as possible. For this reason, the menu is likely to include langoustines, lobster, crab, oysters, mussels, lemon sole, red snapper and monkfish.

As well as seafood the restaurant also features quality assured Highland venison, beef and chicken, all sourced locally wherever possible and vegetarian dishes are also available. The Anchorage has a small but select wine list, so you are sure to find something to complement your meal.

The restaurant is open from 10am - noon for teas, coffees and delicious home baking. From noon - 3.30 lunches are served, while from 6pm - 9pm there is a full à la carte menu. It overlooks the blue waters of Tobermory harbour, where boats bob on fine summer evenings, and it has a friendly, informal atmosphere where enjoyment of the food, the wine and the company is the order of the day.
