A warm and friendly welcome is
assured at Knockandhu Riding School, right in the heart
of Strathspey and the Speyside Whisky Trail. There are
good-natured horses for riders of all standards, from
beginners to the more advanced, and here you can learn to
ride, as well as learn about caring for an animal, from
grooming through mucking out and feeding. Why not spend a full
working day here? The day starts at 9.30am and finishes at
4.30pm, and you can spend the whole time caring for a horse,
learning how to groom, muck out, tack and untack, and the
basics of feeding it. You can then have two one hour lessons
on riding the horse, and finally a quiz to test your
knowledge.
Take
a trek through Strathspey, which is full of beautiful scenery,
and learn about the area`s spectacular wildlife as you go. It
is a truly enjoyable experience, and brings you so much closer
to nature and all its wonders. Or why not go on one of
Knockandhu's picnic rides? Spend half an hour riding to a
secluded, beautiful spot, have a picnic lunch, then spend half
an hour riding back to the riding school once more. You see
more of the countryside this way.
The prices at Knockandhu Riding
School represent amazing value for money, and the proprietor,

Maggieknockatur just off he A95, and is easy to find.
