The Cooper family established Cottage Farm Nurseries
in 1971 and continue to attract customers with their specialist supplies of plants and
garden accessories. The owners and their helpful,
friendly staff offer everything from a single plant or a
simple hanging basket to a complete landscape advice
and supply service for retail and wholesale,
schools, sports centres, local authorities, hotels,
pubs, restaurants and others.
The range of plants includes ornamental and
fruit trees; an extensive range of shrubs and
climbers; hardy exotics such as windmill palms, phormium
and bamboo; hanging baskets made up by a fully
trained florist (or customers can bring their own
baskets and have them filled with plants of their
choice); and a fantastic range of bedding plants
including many unusual plants for spring and autumn
sales. Eighty percent of the plants sold are grown on
site. Among the garden accessories are terracotta and glazed pots from around the world,
statues, bird baths and sundials. Opening hours are 9 to 5 Monday to Saturday, 10 to 4.30 on Sunday.
