Located near the bottom end of Windsor's historic High
Street, Cocoa Bean brings a beautiful and stylish range of gifts and
home accessories to the Royal borough. Founded by Sarah Lock in
2004, the name Cocoa Bean was inspired by her family who used to
make cocoa for chocolate in the old family plantation house in St. Lucia.
Over the years Sarah's keen sense of style and knack
for collecting unique items led to the creation of a range which can
only be described as eclectic . The shop, which is situated in a
restored 19th century building, is an inspiration to anyone who walks
through the doors. Everything from French roof tile candle sconces
and handmade children's toys to luxury tableware from Copenhagen
and gifts for gardener's can be found throughout the seasons. There
is an indulgent variety of bath accessories, exqusite local pottery
and almost everything in the shop is for sale including the hand
carved display tables and light fixtures.
Sarah's discerning taste for quality was recognised by the
trade when the shop was nominated for Best Independent Gift Retailer
in the South in 2006. This achievement is echoed by the
regular coverage in local and national press including being featured
on Country Living's Emporium page.
