 Antique clocks are bought, sold, repaired and restored by John and
Doco Jillings at
Jillings Antique Clocks. They started their business in 1985 in premises near Hampton Court
Palace; they later moved to a smart gallery in London's Belgravia and set up here
in Newent in 1999. The firm specialises in 18th and 19th century English
and Continental clocks and takes great pride in the quality of itsr restoration
work and in the friendly personal service given to clients from all over the world.
Jillings also undertakes top-quality repair work
on fine antique longcase, mantel and bracket clocks. They provide free estimates
and local collection and delivery, and of course all work is guaranteed.
The business is open from 10am to 6pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday,
or by appointment. Visitors should phone before setting out on a journey in case
the owners are away exhibiting at a fair. The stock is shown on their excellent
website. John is acknowledged as one of the UK's leading experts on antique clocks and
has appeared with a restored clock on The
Antiques Roadshow.
