Amaryllis at Home is the brainchild of Susie Holmes, who was in business in Stow-on-the-Wold for several years before moving to these larger premises close to the church dedicated to St Edward the Martyr. Susie has filled her lovely shop with things that she would be happy to have in her own home. Relations and connections in Denmark assist her in sourcing and keeping track of trends in interiors.

Items from Scandinavia, France and the UK include small pieces of furniture, tableware, cutlery, lamps, baskets, fabrics and bathroom accessories, not forgetting some delightful little rabbits and mice. Goods from Denmark come mainly from Lene Bjerre Design who produce an exciting new collection every spring and autumn. There are throws, cushions and bedding from Sweden and France, traditional wooden candlesticks from Sebastian, embroidered textiles from Jan Constantine plus a good range of cotton nightwear.

Scandinavia comes to Stow in abundance at Christmas time. Traditional Christmas decorations and candles from Denmark and Sweden fill Susie's shop at this time of year.

Stow, the highest town in the Cotswolds, has much to interest the visitor, including many fine buildings, England's oldest inn and several antiques shops. But for anyone looking for a special gift or something to enhance the home, Amaryllis at Home is a must.
