The Butchers Arms is a friendly, unpretentious pub
standing north of the A419 Stroud-Gloucester road. Experienced
tenants Mark and Rose provide a warm welcome at this Wadworth
pub at the head of the Stroud Valley. The stone-walled bar _ cool
in summer, cosy in winter _ is a delightful spot to meet (or
make) friends over a drink and, here or in the separate restaurant, Mark produces a good choice
of freshly prepared English dishes. In fine weather tables are set out on the lawn, offering
alfresco supping with beautiful views over the valley. For guests touring this lovely part of the world,
the pub has a self-catering cottage sleeping up to four.
