Anita Desenclos started her antiques and collectables business,
Country Collections, in 1996 and in 2001 moved one door along the High
Street into these present, roomier premises. Anita
trained as an accountant before deciding to embark on
a more exciting career when her two young
daughters started school.
Now she deals in an intriguing variety of attractive and interesting items. In addition to
the antiques, sourced in the UK and France,
Country Collections offers a range of small items of
furniture, old pine, soft furnishings, glassware,
china, ceramics, costume jewellery, Art Deco pieces
and general gift ideas.
Her shop is located in the middle of peaceful Wheatley and comprises a spacious
ground-floor showroom with lots of nooks and crannies, and
a second smaller display area on the first floor.
Anita's delightful shop is a great place to look for
something to brighten the home or to find an unusual
and distinctive present for almost any occasion.
