Business partners Sharon Hollis and Vicky Foulk
were responding to a definite gap in the market when
they opened their fashion shop Amorrio in the autumn of
2005. And what a good idea that was! Behind the
double frontage on the Square in Tisbury, the most prominent
of the villages along the River Nadder, the shop is filled
with an excellent selection of designer clothes, accessories
and gifts, some sourced in England and many from
overseas. Many of the shop's regular customers have their
favourite brands, while others are happy to browse through
the displays and perhaps find new favourites.
Among the brand names that will be familiar to many
are Aura Bella, Johann Brun, Lesley George, Natural
Magic, Balu, Stills, Passport, Turnover, Oui, Out of Xile,
Jackpot, Speedway and Cut Loose. There are Hamilton Davis
belts, lovely chunky knitwear, scarves, cushions and throws, Azuni and locally made jewellery,
handbags for everyday and special occasion use, toilet bags, candles from Mandala and True
Grace, cosmetics and essential oils from Kat Aromatherapy, cards from Tom Dickens fine art and
gift vouchers.....all this and much more in one of the most delightful shops in the
whole county.
