Guy and Janice Perkins opened the Bluestone
Gallery in May 2000. Guy has been a full time
professional potter since 1977, and for 20 years lived and
worked in the middle of Avebury Stone Circle. The
Gallery takes its name from the inner ring of stones at
nearby Stonehenge (the Bluestones brought from the
Preselli Hills). The Gallery, in a listed building, is situated in
a group of attractive independent shops and cafes.
With two floors of work there is an impressive
amount on display, all carefully selected for quality and
originality. Guy and Janice travel widely in the British Isles
searching for the finest work from established and
up-and-coming artists. The wide variety of work includes
jewellery, ceramics, glass, wood, sculpture, automata, prints
and original paintings. At any time you will find the work
of over 70 artists on display. The range of jewellery
has developed into one of the highlights of the Gallery.
An interest free loan scheme helps take the sting out
of impulse buys. You will be made welcome in the
peaceful and friendly atmosphere.
