In a quiet, secluded area in the heart of the Weald
of Kent, the Bishopsdale Oast provides a perfect
base for exploring the many attractions of this lovely
part of the county. Resident owners Iain and Jane Drysdale generate a very friendly, relaxed ambience
in the house, which has been stylishly converted from
a double kiln oast house dating from the 18th century.
The guest accommodation comprises five spacious en suite bedrooms, including a family suite, all
with superking-size beds, TV, radio-alarm, drinks tray
and lovely views over the deer park.
Breakfast and dinner (by arrangement) are
served in the dining room or out on the terrace
overlooking the gardens, and Jane's super cooking includes
home-grown organic vegetables and salads. The oast
house stands in four acres of gardens, some parts
wild, others immaculately cultivated. No pets.
The Bishopsdale Oast is close to many places of interest, including Sissinghurst
(National Trust), Leeds Castle, Bodiam and the beautiful port of Rye.
