In their 250-year-old weatherboarded premises
at the leafy `West End' of town, Karen and John Eaton work together as consultant designers
and goldsmiths. As Eaton & Jones they make
precious and semi-precious pieces of individual
and beautiful designs, many inspired by the Art Nouveau movement. Curved and linear
creations house popular and less known gems, creating
a very handsome range of sumptuous jewellery.
Each pane of the shop's Georgian-style bow window displays its own
array of treasures and the display room inside is informal and friendly. Karen and
John offer the usual services, including commissions to customers
individual requirements, renovation, redesigning, repairs and restringing. In a
beautiful town often referred to as `The Jewel in the Weald', Eaton & Jones is
an undoubted gem.
