The River Medway is the very heart of Kent. It flows through a countryside full of life,
beside orchards, woodlands and a patchwork of farmland and villages.
The largest river in Kent, it cuts straight through the North Downs, and towns and industry have grown up on it's banks.
The Medway Valley Countryside Partnership looks after this special and varied part of
Kent around the River Medway, it's tributaries and a wide area of the surrounding countryside.
The Partnership helps local people, local communities and landowners to care for and improve
their local environment. It makes it possible for people to explore and enjoy this unique part of Kent.
