Quentin Cox, whose background is in computer
software, chose nostalgia for technology when he launched his
unique DecoGraphic Collectors' Gallery in Chichester in
1994. Expanding into Arundel the next year, he now has
extensive collections in the major antiques centres in the heart
of Arundel.
Wireless sets range from early crystal through `30s
TRF, bakelite superhet, `40s vintage and `50s VHF to
early transistors. Gramophones start from Edwardian models
and extend through `20s and `30s wind-up portable,
table-top and cabinet instruments to vintage valve and transistor
high fidelity QUAD, Leak and B&O etc.
An extensive record collection of early and vintage 78 rpm, LPs and singles covers
dance bands, jazz, classical and popular music. Re-mastering service to CD, DVD or minidisc is
offered. The camera collection includes 35mm, tropical, mahogany and brass field cameras,
classic bellows and cine. Cine transfer to DVD is available from all formats. The
toys include vintage diecast models, Hornby, Britains, Meccano, early tinplate models and bisque dolls.
DecoGraphic also provides a repair and restoration service for clients' own pieces. Vintage music of
the 1920s to 1940s gives just the right atmosphere to appreciate these remarkable collections.
