Opposite the pier on the seafront in the
Royal Arcade,
Spiral sells a unique range of contemporary jewellery. Owner Sheela
Thiru'Chelvam, who opened the shop in June 2000, ensures that every piece is
individual and nothing mass-produced, and she goes to southeast Asia two or
three times a year and hand picks the stock.
Behind the elegant white and sky blue
exterior, the wide range always on display includes jewellery for men, women and
children: for men, rings, bracelets and bangles in silver or titanium; for
women, earrings in plain silver with mother of pearl and colourful sea shells;
sterling silver necklaces from fab and funky to sleek and elegant; and bangles
for children. Another branch of Spiral is located at 103 St James' Street in
Kemp Town, Brighton.
