For truly delicious food, there is no better place in Moelfre than
Ann's Pantry. This beach café and restaurant has been
owned and run by Laura and Edward for the last four years, though it has been a café
since at least 1926. Laura and Edward have a passion for good, honest home-cooked
food at reasonable prices. They like to promote fresh,
local produce that is in season, so you know that you are
getting freshness and flavour from all of the dishes on the menu.
During the holiday season it offers food from
breakfast time right through to dinner, and is a popular place, not
only with locals and tourists, but with people living outside
the area, who gladly travel to eat here. The building sits next
to a stream, and was once the home of a watermill
manager. There is also a walled garden with room for 30 to eat,
so you know that kids are perfectly safe. For alfresco eating in the evening, there is a
courtyard with smart tables and chairs.
Ann's Pantry has a cosy, cottage feel to it, with comfy bay window seating and plenty
of magazines which you can read as you relax. It also has a well-stocked bar and a small retail
area called The Treasure Chest where local gifts and crafts are sold.
