With 150 clean, welcoming beaches within 50 miles, the picturesque, stone-built
Clyn Glas Cottages and Woodturning Centre makes the ideal place to have a wonderful holiday in beautiful Wales.
They are owned and run by Hilary and Tony Hizzard, and have earned four coveted stars from the
tourist board. There are two cottages - one with one bedroom and one with two, and each has
stunning views of the Hiraeth Valley. They come fully equipped, with wood burning stoves, colourful
gardens and BBQ areas, and are comfortable and welcoming. The whole area is criss-crossed with
footpaths - just right for walking - and the National Welsh Woollen Museum is a mile away.
Tony is a wood turner, and since 1991 has offered residential and non-residential courses
in this fascinating craft. He sells his products on site and in local galleries. So why not combine
a restful holiday with easy-to-learn courses on wood-turning? They are suitable for novices, and
are very enjoyable. Of course, you don't have to take part in the courses. You could just have
a marvellous, relaxing holiday in one of the most beautiful areas of Wales. The place is renowned
for bird watching, walking, sight seeing, golf and many other activities.
